Peace, Love, Harmony . . . and the IFSP/IEP? Developing an Effective Partnership with your Child’s Education Team. This interactive 2 hour training will teach effective communication, good listening skills, tips to defuse conflict, how to organize and plan for meetings and includes training for the IEP Buddy Program. IEP Buddies are parents of children receiving special education services who are looking to give and receive support during the IEP process. Do you have a friend who wants to be your IEP Buddy? Franklin County Schools Kindergarten Registration Friday, March 26th, 2010 • 9am - 4pm Franklin County Board of Education (Former Middle School Building) 280 Busha Rd • Carnesville 706-384-4554 Required Documents: - Birth Certificate - Social Security Card (letter from Social Security office WILL NOT suffice) - Immunization Records - Guardianship Papers (if applicable) - 3 Current Proofs of Residence* *Acceptable proofs must include parent/guardian name and current physical address, such as: deed, lease/rental agreement, utility bill, property tax receipts, current homeowners insurance policy, or voter registration card. You WILL NOT be able to register if you do not have all above documents. Only a Parent/Legal Guardian is allowed to enroll a child. Teachers will be present to administer the Kindergarten Readiness Test to each enrolling child. Children must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2010 to be eligible to register. Franklin County Schools WILL NOT accept any out-of-county students except for those that live within the city limits of Royston. In addition, it is required that all students attend the school in their district. Questions about district lines can be directed to the Transportation Department (706-384-4554 ext. 11349). It is important that your child(ren) be registered so we may plan effectively for the upcoming school year. If an emergency prevents you from registering on the designated day, please contact Tiffany Dunagan (706-384-4554 ext. 11352) to schedule late registration. The Health Department will be available during Kindergarten Registration to administer vaccinations (contact the Health Department for cost 706-384-5575).
